Dan is correct in that promoters really should not be posting more  
than a couple of messages on the email list about any one race. More  
than a couple of messages get to approach spamming. Even at two  
messages per race if every race did this I think the list would reach  
the point where a lot of people would drop out of the list due to the  
flood of messages.  We have had problems with certan promoters sending  
out many messages to the list about their race and received complaints  
and so the policy of limiting messages for an one race.

Races should have wait lists as part of their Reg. process and as  
people upgrade or drop out of a category people from the wail list can  
be moved into the race so there really isn't a need to send out  
messages about new openings in a category.

And now matter how many time you post about a race being pre-reg only  
there will always be people who aren't on the list ( or the forum) or  
just don't pay attention who will end up driving to the start of the  
race for nothing since they didn't pre-reg.
