Please pass along this e-mail to your teammates and friends that work during normal business hours (poking fun at the number of e-mails that fly out concerning daytime track workouts) and want to get on the track
Tuesday, March 11th begins the Tuesday Night Training and Racing series... and runs through September!
All of the details can be found on the www.ridethetrack calendar.
Three important points for this e-mail.
1) March 11, 18 and 25 are "training" dates. Track racing (on Tuesday's) starts in April. Dependent on turnout we may split up the riders into endurance and sprint groups (or really suffer and do both!). Gates open at 6pm. We will definitely do our madison warm-up at 7pm, and then (safe) open training after that. Oh, and putting my coaching hat on, it's a good idea to come to the session with a goal. If you are on the track for the first time this year you may have a different goal than someone that wants to win Rick's race in a few weeks!
2) We are anticipating that the entrance gate will be backed up with people buying parking passes. PLEASE consider purchasing an annual parking pass. Not only does it pay for itself in less than 10 visits, but you will save time zipping through the gate, save time of the season pass holders behind you -and- your pass is valid at all Santa Clara County Parks (Visona, Grant Ranch, etc.)
3) it was 40 degrees when I rode this morning... please be prepared for cold weather riding, just in case. Speaking of the weather, rain cancels the session and I will try to send a note out by noon on any Tuesday when a season is under threat of rain.
See you next Tuesday, Larry
