[ Please forward this to any juniors or their parents participating in the Early Bird Criterium Series ]
At Monday night's NCNCA meeting I met with the Chief Referee (Casey Kerrigan) and Promoter (Robert Leibold) regarding the Early Birds, and we agreed to implement two changes for juniors with a racing age of 13 and younger. They are:
1. Juniors with a racing age of 13 or younger may participate in the MENTORING LESSON at no cost. However, they must have a current USCF license (either annual or with a one-day).
2. Juniors with a racing age of 13 or younger may participate in the EB races ONLY IF THEY RECEIVE THE EXPRESS CONSTENT OF THE CHIEF REFEREE. If the Chief Ref allows a junior to race he or she must sign up for the race and get a number from registration for the standard fee of $15.
These changes are being implemented for the safety of all riders while still encouraging young juniors to participate in the lesson portion of the series. If you have any questions please send an email to Casey Kerrigan - casey at caseykerrigan.com
