It's back again, and it's growing! This year, it's the final stop for the
inaugural 99 SERIES, and the only mandatory stop if you want to qualify for
overall cash prizes and the Winner's Jersey.
A few changes this year: The TT has been increased to 40K (all we did was
push the turnaround a little further into Yokohl Valley), and there's a
LATER START TIME. Pros start at 12:30, followed by amateurs, which means as
long as you're pre-registered, you'll have plenty of time to wait until
Saturday morning to head to Exeter, minimizing your lodging hassles and
expenses. Lots of categories for all sorts of racers.
The Visalia Criterium course remains the same with just a minor change on
the back side - actually reverting to the course of the "old days" with a
longer stretch from Turn 2 to Turn 3 and a short leg from Turn 3 to Turn 4 -
a true "L" shape.
WATCH YOURSELF ONLINE! iBN Sports is broadcasting both days on the web,
with racing footage archived for ONE YEAR. Race day coverage of the TT will
be limited to the Start/Finish area, but additional coverage from Rocky Hill
will be edited in post-production. Three cameras at the Crit will be able
to get almost the entire race course. Won't your mom be proud?
So come to the Sequoia Cycling Classic March 15-16 in Exeter and Visalia.
The venues are great, the towns are inviting, and entry fees are cheap!
Of course, there is the web site;
