Vacaville Grand Prix will happen Sunday, July 1st.
  http://www.velopromo.com/ It is a challenging
course with a hill that will spank you.
I want to welcome you all to Vacaville, home
of the Vaquero. It will be a downtown race venue
(historic highway 40) and a great place to bring your
family. The race course outlines a heavily shaded park.
A museum and ice skating rink are a few blocks
away from the start/finish line. There are
plenty small locally owned restaurants nearby, coffee
shops too. Everyone is welcomed to use the state
of the art Gold's Gym facilities (minimal fee), including, pool,
hot tub and sauna. A spin class will be held at 8:30 AM.

Vacaville has plenty of rural roads for pre
or post race riding. Pleasants Valley Road is a main
bicyclist artery; if you head South you can reach Lagoon
Valley/Pena Adobe (mostly flat), and the cool part is that
you will be riding on the historic Pony Express Route and
you will pass a stage stop on Cherry Glen Road (13 miles).
If you head North on Pleasants Valley Road (flat with rollers),
you can reach the Berressa Dam (out and back 35 miles),
or turn right at Putah Creek Road (Solano Regional Park) and
return to Vacaville via a part of the Winter's Road Race (32 miles).
Currently, Cantelow is being resurfaced and it is knee deep in
  gravel.

Fresh fruit and locally made olive oil can be found along
Pleasants Valley Road, or on North Orchard at the
  local fruit stand.

If the hill does not spank you perhaps the weather will.
Be prepared for 90 degree temperatures, be well hydrated.
I think I covered it, if you have any lodging questions,
I can offer assistance. Safe Racing.
