Hi All-
Pre-registration closes at 9pm PDT on Wednesday. Race day entry fee is
more than double the pre-reg fee.
Last year we had 121 entries at Masters Track Districts, and for this
year we already have 123 entries. We have had a significant number of
entries from riders who did not race at Districts last year-actually a
number of riders who didn't race at the track at all last year.
Because there are already so many riders signed up for the points
races it looks like the races for the men will be 30-39, 40-54, and
55+. As of now, the fields sizes are 7, 8, and 11, respectively. I
know they will be getting bigger still. Riders will be placed within
their normal 5-year age group. The Sportsbase listing is wrong where
it says you have to be category 1,2,3 for some of the age groups. It
is supposed to say category 1,2,3,4 for the age groups younger than
50.
As mentioned in the race announcement, there is no pre-registration
for the team events, in part because Sportsbase isn't set up well for
this, and because many teams are formed on the day and I didn't want
to penalize those riders.
However, if you do know who your teams are please let me know soon so
I can start to organize that part of the program. I will try to set
the heats so that riders doing multiple age groups can have their
rides spaced apart as much as possible, e.g. early heat in one age
group followed by late heat in the next age group. The sooner you tell
me your team the better your team(s) will be put into the program in
that way.
If you would like to do a team event and you don't yet know all your
teammates just send your name(s) to me and I'll set up a list of
riders looking for teammates. For team sprint it would help if you
indicate any preferences for which lap you'd like to ride.

announcement.
