Hi all,
Once again this year we will be hosting the "Meet the
Teams" day, on the 4th week of the programme. That
means this year "MTTD" will be Sunday, January 28th.
We have this simplified to the max, for those clubs
interested. All the club representative needs to do,
is reply to this e-mail, or eimail me directly. That's
it. Please don't e-mail me for him or her...just bug
them to do it. That way I don't get Club XXX fifteen
times telling me they want to set up. Thank you in
advance.
After that, you will have a space, roughly 10' x
10'ish, that will be determined when you arrive to set
up. If you want your booth to be next to Bob's van,
get there really early. I'd say if you want to grab
one of the 3 spots closest to reg, you'll be setting
up about the time the course crew is...what's that..7
something?? I probably won't be there to check you off
any sort of list that early, so go ahead, and just
start. Bob, or one of his crew will tell the first
club there where to set up, and then we all (my own
club sets up further down the line, better angle on
the s/f line!) fall in line down the median. Everyone
should be set up on the left side behind reg as you
would be walking towards the s/f line.
We just need a list of participating clubs so that we
can plan for how much space will be needed. Space is
finite, so please refrain from grabbing a few extra
feet with that 20x20 beer tent set-up (bring the beer,
leave the tent ;o) ). Again, thank you in advance.
We've done this the past couple of years, and I think
it's been really good. It's really up to you guys, the
clubs, and what you do to present yourselves that does
it. This part, the actual coordination of the event is
really easy. So hopefully we'll see a big turnout of
clubs (more now than ever before, seems like!), some
cool booths, and a big turnout of club members to
participate in mentoring and racing and make it a
really cool day.
That should do it, interested club, please let me know
who you are, and we're golden.
Thanks again,
Geoff Gunderson
