It was brought to my attention that the BARBAT points for the Masters Criterium race should not have counted towards BARBAT because the races were separated by 5-year age increments and not by 35+, 45+, 55+, etc. as required by BARBAT rules. I checked the NCNCA 2006 Road web pages and the results for both the Diamond Valley Road Race and the Minden Criterium are listed as 35+, 45+, and 55+. Next, I checked both races advertisements at:

Diamond Valley RR: http://www.altaalpina.com/attachments/2006roadracead.htm
Minden Crit: http://www.altaalpina.com/attachments/2006critad.htm

According to the race ads, the Minden Criterium results were listed incorrectly. The Diamond Valley Road Race races were run as 35+, 45+, 55+ so those points are correct and do count for BARBAT. The Minden Criterium was run in 5 year age groups, 35-39, 45-49, 55-59 so these races do not count for BARBAT points. Since I only used results that are posted on the web and they were listed incorrectly, the points for the Minden Criterium Masters categories were inadvertently included in BAR and BAT Category totals.

I checked the 2004 and 2005 archives for BARBAT and road results. Both years the Minden Criterium did not count for BAR because of the 5-year age categories. The Diamond Valley Road Race did count both years because those races are 35+, 45+, 55+ etc.

These races are NCNCA District Championships and count for double BARBAT points. Removing the Minden Criterium points had a significant impact on the Masters BARBAT standings. The Master Men 55+ category was impacted the most with Bernie Weber and Larry Wolf tied for 1st place with 104 points. BARBAT rules state:

"In the case of a tie, the highest number of 1st place finishes will act as the tie-breaker. If no 1st place then 2nd place finishes will count, and so on."

Checking their results in qualifying races, both had two 1st place finishes, both had two 2nd place finishes, and Larry Wolf had four 3rd place finishes while Bernie Weber had three. So by tie-breaker rules, Larry Wolf is 1st place in the Men Master 55+ category.

I apologize for this error but as I stated when I released the BARBAT results, my only source of data was the results as they are posted on the web.
