Read the web page.
"The rider whose performance in that race best exemplified the
aggressive, uninhibited style of a true "Cycles Gladiator."
"The winners will be judged by criteria to be set by the individual race
promoters."
It has nothing to do with "success" and certainly not "placings." Riders
who sit in and go for the sprint should probably not be viewed as
"aggressive" or "uninhibited." In fact, this award could be called "Most
Fun To Watch" or "Most Animated Racing Style." I wanted to call the
winner a "Cycles Gladiator," 'cause I'm into the whole "Call me
Gladiator," morituri te salutant," thumbsup-thumbsdown thing, but the
winery decided they like "Uninhibited Racer" to go along with the flying
naked flaming redhead space-racer theme.
In any case, the promoters decide upon the criteria, the method, and
choose (not "nominate") the winners. I will simply be bringing the
prizes to each race, compiling the results, and probably snapping a few
photos. Unless the promoters want more. If a promoter and the volunteers
don't want to be bothered, I suppose I could appoint a blue-ribbon panel
of sidewalk swillers to make the call. Metromint chickies, maybe?!?
And naked or not, Nimrod, you still have to ride like hell or you're
"thumbs down." However, I can pretty much guarantee that if you break
away and drop bib, not only will the peloton lack motivation (but not
revulsion) and be unlikely to catch you, but you will thereby be odds-on
for the U.R.A.!

Question:
How do you quantify the accuracy of the title?
Is it most successful rider (not necessarily the most aggressive)
Or truly the aggressive as in most attacking rider, perhaps not the most
successful rider in most cases.
I could be wrong, but I think in the Tour the most aggressive rider is
not measured by placings.
So if the real most aggressive rider lacks placings, how will you get
his or her name into the mix?
Do we nominate riders?

We'll post the participating races with links to their websites, names
of the winners, photos of the action, and perhaps track the leaders of
the season prize.
Promoters - Let me know if you want your race to be included.
Cheers!
