Linelle; Thanks for the response. Since you copied the 2 lists I am replying
to you personally and them. I think that your Wednesday-Thursday combo
could work. Harvey Nitz also mentioned this as a possibility. Monday-
Wednesday does not sound good to me for this reason. Saturday and Sunday are
usually race days or heavy duty training days for most people especially
roadies.This is when most riders get to train and get their miles. Most
people work during the week. I know that I have ridden upwards to 100-120
miles on a weekend. On Monday I am usually wasted. I will be the first to
admit that I am not a big time roadie/crit rider. I know that a pro 1-2 road
rider can race or ride 80-100 miles on any given day. The last thing that
they want to do is come to the track with "lead"legs to race. The bottom
line is that even though some one did not race on the weekend it does not
mean they haven't ridden long and hard. Thus the need for rest/recovery
days. Mid week racing seems best to me if we are trying to attract the
"roadies". Joe F.
