[NCNCA] Coyote Creek Criterium/Pat Caurant

I was the chief referee yesterday at Coyote Creek Criterium and was the official starter for each event.
Prior to the start of the Pro/1/2 race, I was saddend to hear that Pat Caurant of Team Spine had lost his week-long battle for life.
I didn't know Pat personally but he had been in many races I have officiated and I have known many of his teammates well over the years I've been involved in cycling.
One of his teammates asked me to acknowledge Pat's passing when I was preparing to start the Pro/1/2 race, the category Pat would have raced in had he been able to attend.  I intended to do so, either by holding a moment of silence or by dedicating the race to his memory.  However, in the rush to complete the day, I failed to carry out my promise.  
I want apologize for my oversight to Pat's teammates, his family, his friends and his memory.
