Speaking for Grupo Carrera, we look forward to seeing juniors race in
San Rafael, and they can expect to be racing in front of some large
crowds, as they go just before the pro 1/2 men.
Let's show those folks just what the future of competitive cycling looks
like!

Dear NCNCA members and whom it concerns

Thank you very much for responding to my initial email of
Juniors field in SF. I appreciate the
wide range of responses and support this topic has received over the
past couple of weeks.
Although I am disappointed that a Juniors field will not take place this
year, I now understand
and respect the organizer's decision in making a tough choice. However,
I am even more happy that
there is such support and awareness for the Juniors field. When I
initially sent out the first
email, I was optimistic that a few emails would circulate. When I saw
email after email filled
with suggestions, support and comments pertinent to the Junior field, it
was fantastic. Moreover,
a number of generous race promoters have added Junior categories- the
Carrera de San Rafael and
the Crockett Crit! Thanks!

After viewing all the emails about small and developing fields, I
realize that it is important to
not only progress the Juniors, but Women as well. By just looking back
on how many people cared
about these two groups for just ONE event, I have no doubt that the
future is bright in bringing
Juniors and Women to the start line at every race.

Sincerely,
Julian Martinez
